Autographed albumen carte de visite signed by Joseph William Torrey, Rajah of Ambong and Maroodu (Borneo) in 1866. This card originated in an album containing other cartes de visite signed by the subjects during an 1866 trip to China. Many of them were taken by Hong Kong and Shanghai photographers, making it likely that ours is also from a Chinese studio.
