Emperor Faustin I of Haiti. Engraving of Emperor Faustin I and Empress Adélina donning their coronation robes and regalia on the cover of the French periodical L'Univers Illustré, 26 February 1859. They were reproduced by the Illustrated London News, 16 February 1856. These wood engravings are based on lithographs by L. Crozelier published in the 1852 Album Imperial d'Haiti.  Crozelier worked from daguerreotypes taken by A. Hartmann, and which have since been lost.
